How to play Mahjong
Mahjong was invented in China approximately 500 years before the birth of Christ by a confined Chinese princess, who needed a game to pass the time. Later it was played by Chinese nobility - it was not permitted for peasants to play the game! This ban was later lifted, and the game was spread to all corners of the world. Here you can also read more about the history of the game »
Mahjong
The objective of the game is to remove all pieces from the board. This is done by removing pairs - i.e. selecting two identical pieces and clicking on them. However, there is a twist that makes it more complex and interesting:
You can only remove a piece, if it has at least one side free. This means that either the right or the left side of the piece cannot have a "neighbouring piece". You can combine pieces from different layers, but only if it has at least one side free.
Because it can be difficult to get an overview of the pieces on the board, there are numbers in the top right corner that can help you find pairs. Furthermore, there is either a grey or a green marking around the piece, depending on whether you can use it, i.e. whether it has at least one side free or not.
The different layers also have slightly different color shades to help you distinguish them from each other.
During the game you win Spigos when you remove pieces with a little gold symbol. When you have removed all the pieces you are awarded with a jackpot spin which can result in lots of Spigos or real money.
