Chat guide
Here you can find help and supervision on how to use the chat. It's made with reference to being so easy and user-friendly as possible, but if there is something that you still find tricky you can probably find help here. It doesn't explain all functions that are available but it does explain the ones that may be a little advanced to use.

Ignoring is the best means...!
If you experience in a game that a chat user says something ugly, or that you do not want to see what the person is writing, you can put them on "Ignore". You do this by right-clicking on the user in chat after which a dialogue pops up where you can choose "Ignore". After this you'll not see anymore messages from this user. If you log off the game and on again, however, it will not be valid anymore. If you permanently want to ignore a user you have to add the user to your block list. To do this you have to visit the users profile and click on "Block profile".
Ignoring a user is the best remedy for people who cannot behave just because they are "hiding" behind a computer.
If you experience in chat that a user oversteps the mark and says something that is totally against the rules or breaking the law, you can report the user to Spigo. Remember you only use this function if it is something breaking the rules or breaking the law and not because he or she says something you do not like. You don't call the police either just because someone is swearing in the pedestrianized street...
Spigo also logs everything that is said in chat and we automatically get a notification if certain words are used in the chat. We have a chat administration team who can make people silent in an arbitrary period and that looks at information from users. All this helps to create a positive experience for everybody in the Spigo chat. |

Tab function to find user names
 |
The tab funtion is quite smart easy to use to find a user name quickly. You write the start of an user name e.g. "a" after this you press on the "Tab" key on your keyboard (the key left to Q) and a list with all those user names that start with a, will appear. You can now choose with the mouse or arrow keys which user name you wish and press "Enter". Note that the list only contains user names of the users who are logged in on the chat you sit in. Please notice that this function is case sensitive.
Tips: If you have problems that the user name is not chosen when you press "Enter", is it because the dialogue doesn't have the focus. It gets the focus by you clicking on it with the mouse one time, after this it will always work. |
Short cut codes :-)
In order to make life easier for the faithful chatters, we have made some short cut codes. There are three different codes, they are: /p, /pp and /ii:
/p username message /p "user name" message (if the username is in two words) /pp username /ii username
/p writes one simple private message for the user with username. /pp adds username for users to write privately. /ii adds username on the ignore list. |
